Hasami Wooden Tray

Hasami Wooden Tray

from 27.00

Handmade in the Hasami district of Japan, a region famed for a history of over 400 years of porcelain manufacturing. Hasami porcelain is made using a mix of porcelain and clay to create ceramics that are firmer and sharper than earthenware yet comfortable to the touch. Simple but elegant, modern yet traditional, the pieces are mix-and-match and completely versatile for daily use. For example a tray can also be used as a lid or a plate. Inspired by the stacking mechanism of traditional tiered boxed used in Japanese cuisine each piece is designed to be stacked with others for storage and display.
