Tillandsia Streptophylla Hybrid

Tillandsia Streptophylla Hybrid

Tillandsias, also known as "air plants", are amazing plants that do not require soil to grow. Most tillandsias are found in semi-tropical regions of Central and South America, Mexico and the southern part of the United States. They absorb water and nutrients through their leaves and the roots are simply anchors.

Tillandsias are stunning as standalone pieces and are ideal for living art creations such as aeriums, mounts, and even floral arrangements. With proper care, they can last for years and some may even bloom.

Streptophylla Hyrbid air plants are thick and bushy with smooth, arching leaves. They curve elegantly as they grow larger and are very hardy and easy to care for. They are a hybrid of Tillandsia Brachycalous and Streptophylla. This variety is also known as 'Eric Knoblock', the tillandsia enthusiast who hybridized this species in the 1960s.
